What a great place -- not only for it's wonderful displays and that not-to-be-missed view from their tide pool area overlooking La Jolla Shores and the Scripps Pier, but their research and outstanding educational programs informing the public about the wonders and importance of protecting the world's oceans. It does not have the rides and big shows you may find at the San Diego Zoo or Sea World, but it has more charm, along with nearly 5,000 animals from the sea, and you, your family and friends, no matter how young or old, will learn a little something about our enviornment and the oceans while you enjoy this special place.
Be sure to carve out 2-3 hours when you're in the La Jolla, California area and take in this great treasure. You won't be disappointed, and Da Guy is sure you'll find something fascinating and memorable about your time at this place -- just as he does every time he visits.
