The Best
Da Guy's heart-throb since day 1.

A class act. Check out a fun interview with him here.
A super actor, leading in two of Da Guy's favorite TV series of all time: as Dr. Sam Beckett on Quantum Leap, and Captain Jonathan Archer on Enterprise. Check out more info on the TV page.
What an actress.

Yul Bryner

The one and only King in Rogers and Hammerstein's, The King and I on Broadway (& the big screen). There will never be another. Check him out in Westworld too!

Carol Channing

There is no other Dolly (sorry Barbra) -- Carol IS the one and only from an untold number of performances of Hello, Dolly! You did see her in Thoroughly Modern Millie too, didn't you? What a scream.

We all trusted this American journalist, and tuned in to him to see him every night on the CBS Evening News.
Johnny Depp

What a talented guy. Off-beat perhaps in many of the roles he plays, but he's truly created some of the most memorable moments on the screen. Check him out

Super on Broadway in the Boy from Oz, and in the West End as Curly in Oklahoma. Great as host of the Tony's, and yes, you probably know him as Wolverine on the big screen as well. One of today's few leading men with diversity and talent like many of those big names in the past. There are lots of fan sites, but try these for starters:
The dancing man.

John Rovick aka, Sheriff John
As a really young guy, Da Guy grew grew up with him too. Remember having lunch with the Sheriff and celebrating Birthdays with those carousel cakes? Check out this site on an LA legend.
She's brilliant. One of this era's few leading ladies that will be remembered for years to come.

There is nothing more to say, but "She's a legend and superstar". It really is that simple. Check out her music and a great interview with her here.

2006 Concert Tour - Las Vegas, Nevada

November 18 was a date Da Guy will never forget. An awesome experience at the MGM Grand Arena, with a terrific seat near the left front corner of the stage --
surely better than most of those people with top-price tickets on the floor. Babs looked great, was in great form and voice, relaxed, funny and down-to-earth (loved her putting on glasses to play the piano and to read the Q&A cards with great expressions and comments throughout, and the local discussion of the "real people" foodie places in Vegas). Il Divo were the guest performers and a class act. Barbra definitely got a few political words in without over-doing it -- it was her show after all!
Celeb sightings included Rosie O'Donnell who was very gracious with all the fans during intermission and sang along from her seat throughout the concert (what a hoot -- She's stalking Barbra on this tour, you know!), Mimi Hines (who took over for Barbra in Funny Girl on Broadway after she left), Billy Jean King, Alan & Marilyn Bergman, Robin Leach, and Bab's poodle, Samantha. Everything was perfect -- sound, lighting, orchestra, seat, her outfits, and environs -- all except the 60+ minutes it took the herd of 14,700 cattle (or was that a school of sardines) to leave in a mass-exodus out of the single front arena entrance, down City Walk and therefore no way, except back through the Casino. Why the other exits were not opened, as they usually are, was absurd no matter the reason. The cattle-call was soon forgotten as some sort of a "Vegas thing", over the rest of a once-in-a-lifetime evening. Wow, was it great!
