Some of Da Guy's favorite stage productions over the years. Part 4 of 4, since there are so many!
The Best
Peter Pan
After Mary Martin, there was Sandy Duncan, and then Cathy Rigby in this well-known role. Da Guy will never forget a New Year's eve performance at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood with Sandy (oops, sorry ... Peter) flying out over the audience, and a pretty happy alligator for the midnight finale with New Year's hats on!

The Phantom of the Opera
Da Guy has seen the chandelier fall numerous times in London, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and even Honolulu. It's great every time.
...and here's an all new 95-minute version in a dedicated theatre at The Venetian in Las Vegas, named "Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular". Wow -- after Da Guy saw the original production many times in the first 20 years, this new production that premiered June 2006 in Vegas is Phantastic! A $40 million dollar theatre built for the production; all new effects; and directed by the original, one and only, Harold Prince, this is a must if you've never seen the show or want to relive that experience one more time. It's as fresh and wonderful as ever!
The Pirates of Penzance
She wasn't in the stage version, but check out the movie, now on DVD with Angela Lansbury and most of the original cast. Pirates was playing at the Ahmanson at the same time Sweeney Todd was across the way at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in downtown Los Angeles -- what a pair in July 1981.
Quidam
See the Cirque du Soleil page for more details here.
Ragtime
The Scarlet Pimpernel
Another great performance by Linda Eder
Show Boat
This revival was super at the monstrous Gershwin Theatre on Broadway, directed by Hal Prince.
South Pacific
A revival at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at New York City's Lincoln Center, with an outstanding production.

Sunday in the Park with George
Another terrific Stephen Sondheim show, and you can watch the Original Broadway Cast any time on DVD.
Sunset Boulevard
Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
A classic thriller by Stephen Sondheim that Da Guy and his brother saw many times at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. It's happily preserved on DVD during the last weeks of the original cast's performances in Los Angeles after their Broadway run at the Gershwin Theater.
Watch the commercial for the original Broadway production onTitanic
Yes, after the movie, we had the Broadway show, and it remains one of Da Guy's favorites with the sinking ship and all in the second act!

Varekai
See the Cirque du Soleil page for more details here.
West Side Story
A 2008 NYC revival of the classic Bernstein score with Sondheim lyrics.

Whistle Down the Wind
Only a short run of this Andrew Lloyd Webber show in Washington DC, never to Broadway ... but Da Guy was able to see this performance in the West End. Great show -- fantastic two-level set sort of like Sunset Boulevard.
Wicked
What an absolutely super production on Broadway and as Da Guy saw it in the West Coast production at the Pantages in June 2007.
The Will Rogers Follies
Da Guy loves his big production numbers, and this one sure has them back in June 1991.
Woman of the Year
Lauren Bacall and Harry Guardino at the Los Angeles Music Center in June 1983. Great!
Zorba
Not only was it great to see Anthony Quinn live on stage, but this was Da Guy's introduction to the talents of Debbie Gravitte (now Shapiro). An event not forgotten on a Saturday matinee in May 1983 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles.
Zumanity
See the Cirque du Soleil page for more details here.
